ShineKind Cleaning respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, contact us, request an estimate or arrange residential cleaning services. Our privacy contact is the ShineKind Cleaning owner, reachable at 604-446-0384.
1. Information we collect
When you call, text or otherwise contact us, we may receive your name, phone number, contact information you provide, service address, preferred appointment details, home size, room counts, cleaning preferences and related correspondence. If you choose to share photos for an estimate, those photos may include personal information; avoid including people, documents, valuables or other unnecessary private details.
If you submit a ShineKind enquiry through a Facebook or Instagram lead form, we receive the information shown in that form and that you choose to submit, such as your name, phone number, email and service requirements. Meta separately handles activity on its platforms under its own privacy policy.
2. The website estimate builder
The room and area estimator calculates prices in your browser. It does not save your inputs to our server or automatically send them to us. Choosing “Text us your home details” opens a messaging app with a prepared message. Information is sent only if you send that message. Calling opens your device’s calling application; it does not confirm an appointment.
3. How we use information
We use information to answer enquiries, prepare and confirm quotes, schedule and deliver cleaning, communicate service updates, handle payments and service concerns, maintain appropriate business records and meet legal obligations. A quote enquiry is not consent to unrelated promotional messages. If we offer optional marketing, we will request consent where required and provide a way to withdraw it.
4. Consent and your choices
By providing information for a cleaning enquiry or service, you authorize its use for the relevant purpose described here, subject to applicable law. You can decline optional information or withdraw consent by contacting us. This may limit our ability to quote or provide a service, and some records may need to be retained for legal or business obligations.
5. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. We limit sharing to what is reasonably needed for the service, such as assigned cleaning personnel receiving the address, schedule and relevant access or cleaning instructions. Providers supporting communications, hosting, administration or payment processing may process necessary information. We may also disclose information when legally required or permitted, including to protect safety or respond to legal claims.
Third-party providers may process information outside British Columbia or Canada, where it may be subject to local laws. Please avoid sending payment-card details or sensitive access codes through general enquiry messages.
6. Cookies, hosting and advertising
No Meta Pixel, advertising tracking code or third-party analytics has been added to this website. The hosting provider may process technical information such as IP address, browser details and access logs to operate, secure and authenticate access to the site. The website does not use estimator inputs for advertising.
Facebook and Instagram may use their own cookies and technologies when you interact with our ads or forms. Review Meta’s Privacy Policy for those practices. If we introduce additional website tracking, we will update this policy and implement any required notice and consent before enabling it.
7. Retention and protection
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and applicable legal or recordkeeping requirements. When no longer needed, it should be securely deleted or anonymized. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information, including limiting access to those who need it for their work. No electronic transmission or storage method is completely secure.
8. Access, correction and concerns
You can ask to access or correct your personal information, request deletion where applicable, withdraw consent or raise a privacy concern by calling or texting 604-446-0384 and asking for the owner responsible for privacy. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Access or deletion may be subject to legal exceptions and retention requirements.
If a concern is not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
9. Updates
We may revise this policy as our services and information practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
